This Removes and Disable Windows Vista Evaluation/Test Mode Watermark from Desktop and Increases tcpip half-way connections to 100._I originally edited _user32.dll.mui_ in Windows/Sysytem32 in Vista to try and remove the Test mode from the 4 corners of my Monitor. I tried Resource Tuner, which is a very nice tool for editing Windows system files, but didn't have any luck. I tried the user32.dll.mui tool also with no luck._Then I ran across the Half-Open Limit Fix v.3.1. The developers webpage is no longer active and the project is closed.U se the maximal limit of half-open connections to 100 for most people w/ vista and XP.the same time, since it alters the tcpip file, it removes the watermark _Test Mode_ etc. How sweet it is- much easier than other methods.
